Wash your garments as you normally would, using your favorite laundry detergent. Certainty SmartBoost is formulated to be used during the rinse cycle. For most washing machines, you would add Certainty SmartBoost to the softener port. If your machine doesn’t have a softener port, pour the recommended amount into the water during the rinse cycle. For best results, pour it into the water pockets, avoiding direct contact with clothes.

Each 20 oz bottle can do approximately 20 laundering. Use 1 oz for a regular size load and 2 oz for an oversized load in a high capacity machine.

Yes, Certainty SmartBoost can be used on any machine-washable fabric. It is not recommended for silk or wool, but those fabrics are not generally machine-washable. Certainty SmartBoost does not contain bleach and may be safely used on colors and darks.

Interactions with other laundry products, including your regular detergent, are not a concern. However, in order to work properly, Certainty SmartBoost must be applied to clean clothes. This is why it’s added to the rinse cycle, after the clothes have been washed. Simply pour Certainty SmartBoost in the softener port of your washing machine, and it will be automatically added during the rinse cycle. Note, do not add liquid fabric softener as it will cancel out the benefits of Certainty SmartBoost. Feel free to use dryer sheets though.

Certainty SmartBoost is designed to protect garments between washes. It will not clean clothes or replace your detergent. Certainty SmartBoost will wash out during launderings, so you must add it to the rinse cycle every time you wash your clothes to maintain the antimicrobial protection.

As long as you pour Certainty SmartBoost into the softener port of your washing machine machine and you don’t use liquid fabric softener at the same time, you cannot mess it up. Your machine will automatically add Certainty SmartBoost during the rinse cycle, and you can rest assured that your garments will come out protected.If you add Certainty SmartBoost during the wash cycle or you include liquid fabric softener, you won’t harm your clothes, but they won’t get the added protection. Certainty SmartBoost must be applied to the rinse cycle, usually by putting it in the softener port of your machine. If you add it during the wash cycle, or to dirty clothes, it will not work.

Because Certainty SmartBoost is invisible and doesn’t change how the garment feels, it is impossible to see that it is working. As long as you use it properly when you do your laundry, it will do its job. Proper use means either adding the recommended amount of Certainty SmartBoost to the softener port of a working washing machine, or adding it manually during the machine’s rinse cycle.

Your machine will clean the clothes, then infuse Certainty SmartBoost protection into them as they are rinsed. Your clean garments will be protected from bacteria, mold, and mildew that cause odors and degradation. Note that washing your clothes will remove the Certainty SmartBoost protection, so remember to use it every time you do laundry.
