Solid State Ionics
Gelest offers a selection of germanium and tin compounds for use in solid state ionic applications in addition to silicone copolymer fluids for electrolyte applications. Solid state ionics in fuel cells consists of the transfer of a positive ion through an anode/ catalyst, across an electrolyte (ion conductor), and through the cathode or the reverse transfer of a negative ion through the cathode, across an electrolyte, and through the anode.
