Barry Arkles, Ph.D., President
Responsibilities include general corporate development and strategic product innovation. Dr. Arkles has over 30 years of experience as an organometallic chemist and materials scientist. Prior to the founding of Gelest, Inc., he was a co-founder of Petrarch Systems, Inc., the predecessor company of Sivento America. Dr. Arkles received his doctorate from Temple University.

Kevin King, Vice President Operations
Responsible for site production and management, Mr. King has over 20 years of experience in silane and silicone production and manufacturing. Previously he was Production Manager of Petrarch Systems. He is a
founder of Gelest, Inc. and a graduate of Ursinus College.

Gerald L. Larson, Ph.D., Vice President Research Products
Responsible for new product development and applications. Dr. Larson has over 35 years of experience in organosilicon chemistry including 16 years as Professor of Chemistry at the University of Puerto Rico. He has authored or co-authored more than 100 papers on silicon chemistry. He received his doctorate from University of California at Davis.

Joel M. Zazyczny, Vice President Silanes, Silicones & Metal-Organics
Responsibilities include corporate strategy, product management, marketing, micro-particle development & technical service, purchasing, customer service and business development for the Silanes, Silicones and Metal-Organics product lines. Joel has over 20 years of experience in silicon chemistry, surface modification and industrial minerals applications development, including key technical, commercial and executive positions with Hüls America, Polar Minerals & Imerys Performance Minerals.
